This is my entry for the FF challenge on the wiki. It's a first kiss challenge. I think it's ok. Title: Doing Homework Chapter: Stand alone Rating: PG Summary: Noah comes over to do homework. This is not for profit. No copyright infringement is intended. Authors submit and write their own work. "So, what time should I be at your house Luke?" "Um...how about seven?" "Cool. See you then." Great, just great. Noah's coming over to do homework. Luke sighs and puts his back pack on. Why do I have to be partnered with the guy I'm crushin on? I couldn't get anyone else? Why do I always crush on the straight guys? FUCK!! OK, just relax. It's no big deal. I can do this. It's just homework. No need to panic. I'll be fine. He'll come over and we'll do our homework and he'll leave. Yeah, that's it. I can handle it. Noah was getting into his truck, headed home. OK, I can do this! I can go to Luke's house and not freak out. I've liked him for two months and now I've got to work with him. Why him? Why not Casey? UGH!! Just relax Mayer. Noah runs his fingers through his hair and exhales. I can do this. It's just homework. Just go over there, get it done and leave. That's the plan. I can do this. God I hope he doesn't catch me staring at him! Noah is at the farm, sitting in his truck. I'm so nervous! He wipes his hands on his dark blue jeans. He felt his forehead. I'm fuckin sweating. He wiped his brow. Jeez get a grip Mayer! I'm just here to do homework. That's it. Don't freak out. He's straight anyways. After a couple of minutes he gets out of his truck and walks to the door. He takes a breath and knocks on the door. "Hi. Is Luke here?" "He sure is. Come on in." Holden holds the door open and let's Noah in. He walks towards the stairs. "Luke?" "Yeah dad?" "There's someone here to see you." Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit! He's here! Luke checks his hair and brushes his hand over his shirt. "I'll be down in a sec." Shit, did my voice just crack? Did he notice? Luke walks down the stairs, mortified that Noah can pick up on his nervousness. "Hi Noah." Noah looked up. Light brown connected with Sapphire blue. Oh God he's hot! Noah gulped, his adam's apple jiggling as he tried to swallow. He shifts uncomfortably, thinking Luke can see into the very depths of him. Breathe Luke! God he's fine! Luke finally gets his bearings after staring at Noah for what seemed like forever. "Dad, this is Noah...my lab partner." "How are you Noah?" "I'm fine sir." Oh God, I hope his dad doesn't notice my sweaty hands! "He's here to do homework." "OK, I'll let you guys get busy then. Nice to meet you Noah." "Same here Mr. Snyder." Holden left and there was awkward silence as both boys ogled each other. "So....you wanna study right here?" "Sure Luke. Wherever is good." I'd love to see your room. Noah slides off his back pack and takes a seat at the table. "You wanna drink? We have juice, coke, water..." "Juice is good." Luke heads towards the fridge. The scent of Noah is so strong in his nostrils he can almost taste it. He smells so fuckin good! He grabs two juices and hands Noah one. "Here ya go." "Thanks." "You ready to get started?" "Let's do it." Luke cracks open his books when Faith and Nat walked in. "Hey Luke." "Hey Faith." "Whose you're friend?" "This is my lab partner Nat. His name is Noah." "Hi guys." "Hi Noah." They said in unison. "What cha doin Luke?" "Homework Faith." "Did you change your shirt?" "Huh?" "Your shirt. Did you change it? That's not what you had on earlier." Shut up Faith! Luke was embarrassed. He wanted to reach out and put his hand over Faith's mouth. "We're busy Faith." "And your hair? You changed it. Why?" Noah snickered as he saw Luke turn red with embarrassment. Luke wanted to sink into the ground. He couldn't believe his sisters were doing this to him. "Do you have a date tonight or something? It is Friday night." Nat's words sent him over the edge. Luke was beyond mortified. "OK, that's it! Dad we're going in my room to study!" Luke gathered his book and juice. "Let's go Noah." "OK." Noah was snickering some more. He's so damn cute when he's embarrassed. "That's fine Luke." Holden called out. My dad would flip about Noah being in my room if he knew I was gay. Noah followed Luke up to his room. His ass is so cute! STOP IT MAYER! He's straight. Luke opened his door and turned on his lamp. Alone in his room. Why does he have to be straight? Noah went to the desk while Luke sat on his bed. "Nice room." "Um...thanks I guess. It's just average." He's in my room! I've dreamed about this so many times and now he's in here. Why does he have to be straight? Noah set his back pack by his foot and looked at the CD's on Luke's desk. "Cool collection." "Thanks." Noah holds up a CD. "I've got this one at home." "Really?" "Yep. Number six is my favorite." "It's good. Number ten is my favorite." "That's my second favorite!" Thirty-five minutes later Noah and Luke were still talking about music. They were so comfortable talking to each other they didn't realize that time had flew by. Luke was laughing at something Noah said when he heard his grandma's clock chime. "Oh shit! It's eight o'clock and we haven't even started yet." "I didn't realize how late it is. Let's get started Luke." Noah went to stretch his arms when CRASH! Luke's CD collection was all over the floor. "Oh shit! I'm so sorry Luke!" I'm such a fuckin klutz! "It's ok." "No it isn't. I'm so clumsy." "It's really ok. I'll put them back." "I'm gonna help you." "Well I kinda have a system..." "Oh. Well how bout I hand them to you. Deal?" "Deal." Luke sits in the chair while Noah bends down and starts picking up the CD's. Luke is sneaking peeks of Noah's arms and mouth, thankful that he can spend more time with Noah in his room. God his eyes are so blue! "Luke?" "Huh?" "I've been trying to hand you this CD for like a minute now." "Oh, sorry. Just kinda spaced out for a sec." "Looked like you were deep in thoughts. Were they good?" Luke swallowed as he became flushed. I was thinking about how your lips would feel against mine! Pull yourself together Luke! "Oh...uh....wow, we should totally get started." Noah grabs the last CD just as Luke grabs for it. Luke's hand grazes Noah's. Sparks! Electricity. That's what Noah and Luke were feeling. Oh God, he's touching my hand! Noah tries to move his hand but he can't. His mind won't let him. He's savoring the feel of Luke's hand on his. Why is it so hot in here? Luke looks into those blue eyes and he feels like he's floating. Oh my God! Luke knows he should let go of the CD but he's afraid that if he does he will fall. The CD is the only thing keeping him up. His legs feel like jelly. Noah gazes at Luke and he moves his hand closer to his. Luke looks down as Noah passes his thumb over his knuckles. Oh shit! Luke's heart falls into his stomach as fantasy is becoming reality. Noah steps closer as his stomach does flip flops. He knows Luke is straight, but he can't help it. He's drawn to him, like a moth to a flame. He's not moving his hand away. Noah ignores all of the reasons he told himself that Luke is straight and how he shouldn't do this and how this was wrong and moves even closer. Noah gazes at Luke deeply. "Luke...are you?" Noah's eyes are pleading with Luke's. Please be gay, please be gay! "Are...you?" Say yes, please say yes! Noah takes a breath. "I asked you...first." Luke steps closer to Noah. His right shoe is barely touching the outside of Noah's left shoe. "I asked you second." Noah can feel Luke's breath on his mouth and he gulps. Luke sees his adam's apples move and he involuntarily licks his lips. Noah sees this and he bites his bottom lip trying to stop himself from devouring Luke. Luke steps even closer and lifts his mouth up to Noah's. Luke leans in and he kisses him. Softly at first, just barely. Noah sighs as he feels relief and happiness at the same time. Noah's sigh turns Luke on so he kisses him a little harder. Noah moans as his dreams are coming true. Noah opened his mouth and Luke slipped his tongue in. Noah's heart jumped as he felt Luke's tongue glide against his. He placed his hands on Luke's back and fully gave himself to the kiss. He cocked his head so he could get full access of Luke's tantalizing mouth. Saliva and tongues swirled around and around as Noah and Luke kissed passionately. Luke hands were around Noah's neck as he kissed the object of his desire. Noah started rubbing Luke's back as he felt alive. This was the realist thing Noah ever felt in his life. He felt free and happy and just so right. This was right for him. Luke reluctantly pulled away seeing as he had to breathe. "I guess you are..." Noah chuckled and said, "So are you." "Do you know how long I've been waiting to do that?" "I bet not as long as I have. I've been crushin on you for two months now." "Just two? Try three!" "I just assumed..." "Yeah, me too." "I guess we can do homework tomorrow." "I guess so Noah." Noah grinned at Luke and pulled him close. Kissing was the only thing that was going to get done tonight and Luke couldn't be happier. |
